Tolerance and non-judgmental attitudes are required.
Our craft mandates a spirit of accepting "differences,"
"non-racial" attitude, and cultural sensitivity.
In addition, religion and politics are not discussed
in the Temple.
Emounah is a real mosaic of diversity. It is
this diversity that fosters growth within
the Sisters.
The Lodge is an "Awakening school." Through
this awakening we discover ourselves. We abide
by the tenants of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
These tenants allow us to grow in an atmosphere
of mutual respect and care. Emounah is a young
but healthy Lodge where the dynamism and a good spirit
are omnipresent.
Together with Universalis and Aletheia, Emounah promotes the future of Women Freemasonry in
the United States. Masonry is a long journey,
it is an open ended book...
Emounah is the first Women's Masonic Lodge in the metropolitan
Washington DC area. It was installed on March 11,
2001.
